Nautilus Swell, aka home sweet home for two weeks
Indy, our dive platform for two weeks. Room for 24, but now usually only holds 14.
Got lots of face time with the stellar sea lions. A few stories as well!
Stellar fly by. The corals and sponges aren't too bad, either!
These guys are just so graceful under water. I got lots more photos of them even closer, but a picture of just a fin isn't that photogenic...
See, got a fish!
Just a few of the rascals in the water today. I think this was the bunch that was harrassing a humpback whale earlier.
Does one of you have my mask and hood?
My friend Mark Menne thought this was his favorite photo....
sea otter mom and pup
What are you?
Momma with octopus sushi, pup got a tentacle later on to play with.
Mom, dad and pup. May not be the pup's dad, but dad was trying to get some time with mom...
Divers on a safety stop
Derek and Helen playing with an octo
Jeanne shaking hands with an octopus
Grunt sculpin on sponges surrounded by corals. Imagine walls filled with so many sponges, corals, anemones and other invertebrates that it was hard to see the fish...lovely!
Eye to eye with a grunt
Prowfish, same family (and size) as wolf eel. Mated pair. Very cool!
